    also just filled it in

BTW - I'll be riding down from auckland to palmerston north on the 14th and then across to wanganui on the 15th.
And back to auckland on sunday - if anyone is keen to join me. (I don't have a support vehicle - but me and my 70's honda have done the auckland - wellington trip 3 times already, no drama)

I will be riding down and back, from Te Awamutu, so would be happy to extend the weekend. I have family in PN I can stay with.

I will confirm my AL at work next week or so and get back in touch.

Cool - what are you riding? - as I said before I'm on a 1970 honda 50 - so are pretty slow but steady

If it's a step-through, you're fine Paul. No challenge if it's 125 or above though.
Harley guys and girls loved it last year on 50cc scoots, so that says something.
It's no doddle though, as the Rangipo is a steep haul and can throw everything at you, but hey, it's for our sick kids and every dollar counts.

By the way, cool to see folk from up north supporting the cause once again.
    Many thanks.

Sorry, just realized that your scoot is probably eligible Paul. Why don't you go into the CPSC site and check with the organizer. It's a run that is well worth it, in more ways than one.
    Cheers, Glen

Saturn, I heard from Terena and as long as I travell at the same speed as everyone else, I can bring a friends 150 scooter. I would prefer to go with the same size scoot as everyone else, so will see what I can beg borrow or take for a 'test' ride on the day before.

    Thanks for the PM.

I have signed up for this and scored a cheap scootah last weekend.Have also roped two mates into doing it and fundraising is off to a flying start...unlike the bike which on closer inspection is running on unfiltered air and no head gasket

    Looking forward to the day.

I'm bloody useless at this fundraising. Going and asking people just isnt my way of doing things. Have put an email out to all at work ( 450+) so hopfully, I'll get some response.

Trouble is, everyone I know is like me, stoney broke.

Most of the businesses I deal with want money from me!!!

So how many are going? There are two of us riding down from Te A on the Friday, We will ride back after the run finishes on Saturday evening. Allowing for 300k's to Wanganui, the ride itself, another 270? and a 115k's back home, about 700k's. Working on 30k/l about 25litres of fuel.

Buggsy's agreed to be a sissy for the weekend and let himself be dressed up a bit. Between the lady I'm riding down with and I, we have about $700 raised. I seem to have run out of ideas for raising funds.
