Comfortable and snug is ok ... but the real test is after about an hours riding ... see how comfortable it is then.

    Paper bags are cheap.

Your choice, your head. Also, don't get a false sense of security that you won't get hurt even with a perfect fitting helmet. Sorry to hear about your helmet. Hope you make the right decision.

I seen the CS14 is like $159ish on nz retailers websites, mine wasn't much less landed. Though in saying that it seems yellow aint that a popular colour so maybe the high-vis-ers will be keen. Have put it up will see how I go

After going into a store to try some helmets today I've decided to keep it, for now. Every helmet I tried was as "bad" or way worse, didnt fit a single one as well as i thought it might no matter how little or much it cost or where it was from. There's no way in hell I'm a small in probably any helmet, definitely medium which is what I have. The fit could possibly only seriously marginally be better and yea I know what some may be thinking... that "marginally better" could be the difference between life or death. But... I'm a cautious person, this isn't my main mode of transport and it fit PERFECT in every other way except just that one (which was why I couldn't figure out what's wrong!!). Partially I'm also wondering if I'm being too particular... which I definitely can be at times! Oh well, no excuse now, out on the road this weekend I guess!

The good news is ... they usually get more comfortable after some regular use.

I got my gear just under a month ago and I think I spent the most time trying out the gloves and helmet. Especially the helmet. Was originally going to get a medium Qwest ut then I tried the small and while it was quite snug at first. When I flicked my head up and down, it didn't move much. Glad I went for the small. While abit of a squeeze putting it on at first. I've had it on for two hours + and its like I don't have anything on. Im not very experienced but I can quite easily say im thoroughly impressed with my Qwest.

Looks a good fit actually. Nothing looks too tight, room to loose (or gain) a kg ore two never hurts ... (especially with Christmas pud just round the corner )
