    If I happen to be in Hams sometime then, I'll be all over it like women on white-ware

    Mum wants! I certainly wouldn't mind having to break it in either, and the wife would be more than happy to "test"

    Bastards never mentioned anything to us! I reckon if they said something to mum, they might have a 400 with only a 1000kms on the clock for a trade

    Gotta have a play.

    You're welcome to come ride our demo mate.

    For the record, all the EXC range are LAMS legal as long as they're as they were uncrated and that means carrying heavy restrictions that makes them run like a bag of shit. Technically, any derestricted EXC running around is NOT LAMs legal.

    I'll crash it WT... I'd really love to take the 390 up the 'takas, I reckon it'll be mental fun

    Yes, technically, but what VTNZ officer that tries to drop your bike will know this? I could get a ZZR600 powered 400 through a wof, it'll look completely factory
    Mind you, going by history I'll crash it pretty promptly again

    I absolutely agree the 390 duke is going to be by far the best LAMS bike out there. The 200 gets such good reviews all over the world but with the 390 having nearly twice the power and still being LAMS legal, it should be at the top of most peoples wishlists.

    Any one got any news on when these are due out in NZ?

    It looks like they've been 'launched' in the UK, some KTM dealers appear to have demo bikes available (assume actual stock is still a few weeks away?), but I can't find any reviews of it yet ...

    If anyone is reading this is in the UK, can you do us a favour, please go take one for a blat, and then report back?

    Thanks for the info! (I had wondered why KTM had removed the 390 from the Aus/NZ website and TSS RB had stopped advertising it etc).

    Bit of a shame NZ is always at the bottom of the heap. It would be nice if the manufacturers occasionally did the opposite, and said "hey, NZ is only a small market, it won't take too many bikes out of another market to satisfy NZ's market sooner rather than later. So rather than sending 2000 bikes to the UK and making NZ wait, why don't we send 1900 to the UK now, 100 to NZ now, and then the remaining 100 to the UK later...". I guess dreams are free .

    Although as Henry says, it does give us a bit more time to save up, also to check out reviews, and generally look forward to it ... could be a nice pressie for next summer .

    100? 10 would be more than enough.

    I reckon it would be the perfect Greytown to Wellington commuter. Cheap as chips to run and insure and enough fun on the hill and in traffic to maintain interest.

    Heh, you think 10 will be enough? This kind of proves my point ... wouldn't take much out of another country's stock to satisfy little ol NZ .

    BTW, UK bikes look like they're being supplied in late April/early May etc, so might be a few weeks before we get to see some reviews, YouTubes etc.

    I think you'd be shocked at how few bikes of each new model arrive in NZ and what the total sales are for each manufacturer. I know these are over 600cc stats, but it's difficult to know if the smaller capacity motorcycles are road registered or not. Even these stats below may include the larger quad bike sales for instance. LTNZ are not very good at stats. Or they are geniuses from their own perspective.

    Top 5 600+cc motorcycle brands 2007-2011
    2007
    * Suzuki: 1526 sales
    * Harley-Davidson: 861 sales
