i almost brought the new 300 ninja before i got the 250 but cudnt warrant 10k on my first bike
uv got till september to save your pennys and i bet the ginny would fetch a mint as a trade, especially as it can hold more gear than a small truck

Wonder if they'll make a slightly retuned adventure version?
Different cams to trade a few HP for a few more NM of torque for a fatter bottom end and mid range and that would be pretty sweet. Even if they dropped it from 44hp to 40hp thats still slightly more power than a DR 650.

Are you for real?...bike shops don't offer anywhere near what you want as a trade. I got offered $6K for my Triumph Sprint, trading on a Daytona valued @ around $14K at the time. I said ''$8K and we will do the deal''.
Salesmans reply was ''if you want sort of money, try selling it privately''...which I did and got $9K cash for it on TM.
EDIT: apologies... the lack of capitals lead to misreading.
That's what he said, sell it on trade me, not as a tradeAnd I am confident it will sell for more than $2000. Extremely well looked after, oil and filter changes every 4.5-5k, k's still aren't quite up there think 18k or something... not sure actually, new paint job, aftermarket screen (worth at least a couple hundy), new(ish) tyres, new front and rear sprocket and chain, pack rack, factory sissy and some other gay sissy for a pillion. And also it's my bike and I'm seriously famous, so that must bump the price up at least a few thousand dollars I think!

The 390 would be ok for a bit of fun or a trip out to the coast for a coffee, but with an 11 litre fuel tank? not so good for longer trips, you'll be looking for a servo every 100 kms. And I think that seat is 80% wood.
