And also it's my bike and I'm seriously famous, so that must bump the price up at least a few thousand dollars I think!
Fruit does not add value. It just makes it easier to sell than the stock one for the same price the next listing down. You are better off selling it stock and getting what you can for the extras. Pain in the arse but there you go.

690 Duke easily returns 22km/L with me thrashing it, I'd expect the 390 to get at least 27km/L with no dramas.

...and the seat on the 390 is not 80% wood right?, bit of a tongue/cheek post really.
While the 390 is a smartly dressed machine, the 690 would make you the envy of all those around you. Plus offer more in the touring stakes (if that was a requirement) and for $4K more, why wouldn’t you.

    We will see.

But, but, but if you sold it.... then you wouldn't have your favourite 'hoon machine' to play on Jimmy

Deposit paid, Duke 390 on order. Delivery scheduled for September.

Apparently, i'll be getting one of only three bikes allocated to the dealer, which seems like an absurdly small number.

And now we wait (hmmmm ... wonder how the CEO of KTM will respond to email harassment about getting the NZ bikes here before Sept?)

A little L or R on after the "6" bit on your licence would be the main reason. Interestingly, Chris Birch genuinely prefers the 200 to the 690 as a road bike.

Are they definitely going to have the orange wheels?

    I believe they are, yes.

Partly to differentiate them from the 200s.

Hmmm, don't think I'm a fan of the orange wheels. I wonder if they should have been an option rather than standard?

They're still going to be amazing bikes tho!

This month's Performance Bikes has a test of it: they call it the "LC for the new Millennium" or something understated like that. Conclusion was its a bunch of fun even if you arent on a restricted licence....

First shipment's almost entirely sold out. If you want one it'd pay to put a deposit down at your local dealer now.

So this bike sells for less than $4000 in India. Someone somewhere a long the line is making a shit load of money on these!
