My understanding is they're made and assembled in India then shipped to Austria for a quality check then dispatched to the markets , which are 76 country's world wide.
MCN Auss has a good write up and they'll be $6495 aus with abs, India's a strange market for vehicles as any import is heavily taxed by up to 100 percent , has caught out a few cricketers with their Ferrari's and Lambo's etc.

I am pretty sure I read in Performance Bikes a while back you can buy a kit to convert a Duke 390 into a RC390, but it looks like KTM may be producing it now.
Going from memory I thought the ones they ran in the European Junior Cup in 2012 were getting some ridiculous HP like around 70 compared to the 38 to 40 quoted in the above article. 38-40bhp sound more like it though. I must go for a dig through my old magazines when I get home now...
Just been speaking to the old man in the UK on skype phone. He traded in his 650 GS for a Duke 390 this morning. Unfortunately he won't be picking it up until October. I never realised he had so much patience.
Manopausal.
It was the 690 in the magazine! 79bhp of single cylinder mayhem![]()
And you can get the kit for a Duke 690 to turn it into a RC4 here www.mototech.de Now that looks like some fun times!
Pity they dropped the Duke 690 for a Honda CB500 twin in Europe's super cup class, hopeless bastards, Honda money talks.
Just took the 200 duke for a test blat to get an idea what the 390 will be like. Great little bike so much fun, the 390 will be mental fun and im sold on the little dukes. Now to get rid of the ninja....... sorry kawasaki....... im out
