If the choke was staying on, the bike would not clean up by using lesser throttle action, it would stay permanently rich?

Not yet. Haven't even looked at it yet.

Will change all of the electronic senders, and must remember to check the clearances from cam and crank rotors to the senders.

Chuck a fuel pressure gauge on there and try and get the thing to play up.

I would go just the fuel root first man, and if no different then the electronics, at least that way you know exactually what the issue was/is

If I had a dyno, the one thing at a time route is certainly the best idea.

It's a bit hard to take it for a hoon each time we change something though, particularly when it needs to travel about twenty k's before it usually starts playing up the first time it goes out on any given day.

That sounds a bugger of a thing to diagnose. You're right tho, one thing at a time.
Reminds me of an early morning many years ago unloading TZ Yamahas out of a van at 6am on the Kaitokes.
Couldn't probably get away with that nowdays with Cellphones and the like ???

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

Pardon ? - two days a week availbility of ruapuna ain't paradise....that's Invercargill where you can get your own key to the track...

drew from what you're saying the problem appears to be heat related. you don't have to ride the damm thing - just run it long enough to get it hot.

    Re: Issues...

    Evening lads,
Have you got this issue sorted... ? (Scottie here... b.t.w)

Told Allan last time we spoke to get hold of Gary at GP Motorcycle Wreckers to get a stock dash - speculating here ain't goin to fix the bike...

An hour or so in Gremlins (the real one ;-) workshop may well do so...

I will be down at both the Taupo & Manfied rounds

My diagnostic time is FOC - just make sure I have a cold Jack Daniels in my hand once the job is done...

B.T.W "Gidday Shaun - long time mate..."
To finish first - first you must finish... Oh b.t.w, which way doe's Turn 1 go & whats the lap record...
