I've seen a video of one running a 9sec quartermile on tarseal, now they're doing 8sec but turbo fourstroke
A friend of mine would like me to build an electric one, said it'd easily piss all over what we currently run and because of the race length would be no problem with range
Cost would be comparable to buying a later LCR though
Hmm, still thinking the same thing as before...
It would be great to build a stinkwheel chair, could make it sure as fuck super fast, but bolting in a GSXR Thou E-bay special and spending time on the track will be time and coin better spent.
I've only had a few sidecar tootoo's but I'm sure that getting a good handling setup and lots and lots of track time to get it sorted between the 3 entities involved is surely the best policy.

We got a bit done today. Swapped the cam and crank angle senders, though they tested as per the book. Along with the temp sender that the ECU uses, (which interestingly had different numbers stamped on it). Speed sensor too.
Added a fuel line pressure gauge, and temp gauge.
I found a small balance pipe between #2 and #3 throttle body that had hardened and wasn't fitting tight anymore. So that's replaced too.
Just gotta replace the variable resistor we have on the ignition switch wire, with a normal resistor and fire it up.
We're gonna leave the motor where it is till the end of the season. It should be mounted further forward to get the weight over the front wheel more, but it's a lot more work than just shifting the motor. There's the seat to then mount further up, all the controls and shit, and a new frame brace to make.
Scored some free dyno time tonight, so we chucked it on there and tried to replicated the problem we've been having.
Got about fifteen minutes of run time without any issues. Unfortunately though, thing's so fucken grunty it snapped the drive axle on the dyno!
So we didn't get to just run the thing solid, for any length of time. Getting around 150 ponies at the tread though, which is not too bad I reckon.
So I'll talk to Skunk and see if he's going to be able to give us one ten lap session to make sure the prob is fixed next weekend, and then I'll start a build thread for CBR400 powered lawn mowers to fill in the time before the next nats round.
Fingers crossed.
Give it time. The only meeting we've finished so far, the chair was running so bad it was a LOT slower than the 600s.
I can forgive Scrivy for not having thought this through, sidecar riders are seemingly oblivious to the gains that can be made by altering shit...except for the pirate of course, which does make for a strong argument in leaving shit the fuck alone sometimes.
But how is shortening a vehicle that unloads the front too much already, supposed to be an improvement?
It turns in MINT, but pick the throttle back up at all and you are fighting a very determined bulldozer out of right hand bends.
