Well, nothing if I left the rear hub pissed as fuck to match it. But after I set that back to the specs you gave Gordie from LCR, it appears that the motor being on a lean to the right isn't exactly as required.

He used to wonder why it kept throwing the chain

He should have run the problem past an engineering tutor.

The sympathetic part of me could almost see how someone with little mechanical knowledge could end up where it was...

But it's unfathomable given this ^^^

Add to that, he had the chain so tight it broke an engine mount brace. At least, I can't see another way it could have gotten over loaded.

Assuming of course, that it wasn't like that when he got it.

Drew mate we love your attention to mechanical details, so are we going to see some pictures on this thread or are you going to start a new chair thread and show us your engineering skills there?
    Cheers

There's nothing to make, other than some spacers with a 10mm hole through them.
    Only one weld required.

I'll post up a couple pics when I clear some memory on the phone and take some.

Somethings just can't be helped. Motor is now in pieces beside the chair getting put back to as stock as I can make it without splitting the cases and investigating what's going on in there.

That's an Harris works engine, I doubt you can improve on that

Is that a Harris Barely Works engine?

Seems it had some special one off Harris imaginary hot cams in it too.

Sump was baffled at least...by leaving the gasket paper over hanging an inch and a half into the sump all the way around. Qulaity.

Very special, with no markings or evidence they're different to standard at all.

    Quite.

But I dare say that there's every chance I'll peg it back too many gears at some point with the button shifter, and that would be the end of it all

Most of that stuff was pre fucked by the Lawrances before Harris got it as well
