The 600 looks great in that lot but I've never liked the look of the CBR1000RR at all.

Anybody else notice the scallops on the forks for the CBR1000RR? I haven't seen it done like that before.

I guess not. What part of the forks are you referring to, TEC?

On another note, I'm looking forward to seeing how this young fella goes this season...

The fork outer tubes are fluted or something.

Yep, MT see's it. Let's see if I can get the big picture uploaded.

Zoom in on the forks and you'll see what I'm talking about.

And MT's description of "fluted" is probably better than "scalloped". I know that the Ohlins NIX30's used on the Daytona 675R have one side of the fork shaved (mirrored on the other fork tube) which is suppose to allow them to 'tune' the amount of flex in the fork tube itself............(I think). I would suspect that that "fluting" on the Honda's are trimming some weight on the fork tubes while maintaining strength.

Mmmm not sure it would save weight, may even add a little but certainly add stiffness.
I'm sure Dr Bob will be along to explain all since he's back from his three week break down south

Looking forward to it. Stiffness under braking, flex when leaned over?

Someone needs to throw out a compliment about Helen Clark................I'm sure that the Dr's 6th sense will hone in on KB and track down the offending post whereby he might just read the rest of the thread and after a long rant..................provide some answers.

The latest SKY Guide does not have the Feburary race listed in the Motorsport section. Am I prematurely freaking out or is it an omission?

I noticed that too and phoned Sky on Saturday. They had no programmers available and said they would get someone back to me today (Tuesday 29th Jan) as Monday was a holiday in Auckland. I haven't heard anything yet.

Note that on Sky Sport Highlights for Sunday 24th it lists "Superbikes Highlights" but no mention of what time, or how long for.

My suggestion is that the more people that ring, the more chance we might have. 0800 759 759

I don't mind if we get it delayed - just so long as we get the whole thing including the pre-race buildup when we sometimes learn all sorts of pit gossip etc, and the post race interviews.

The Sky website doesn't even list Motorsport as a heading - at least not that I could see.

Actually, since it's Phillip Island the buggers could show it live.
