Not really. Both the WSBK and MotoGP series are run over the northern summer - our winter. The weather in Phillip Island is variable at the best of times, so they try and make the races there as close to our southern summer as they can while trying to stay with the northern season - or close to it. Thus WSBK in Feb/March and MotoGP in October.

Dorna need to hurry up and offer WSBK in their video subscription as well.

+1, but they won't offer it for free.

Prediction: next year Mrs Jelly & I will be paying 120 Euro for MotoGP, 80 Euro for WSBK (special discount price with the MotoGP package), and we'll still be forking out for Sky Sport because we don't want to miss out on the darts, or something. Pathetic, eh.

It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

WOW.....more proof no one finds this series interesting....and before the haters strike...I think it is a shame, super bikes are the premier series in most countries , seems wrong that the wsbk series is so boring...IMO.....there just doesn't seem to be any spice...I'm very happy for Kawasaki...melandri has disappointed, where the fuck is checa , no Yamaha....I dunno, early days but I'm not feeling it.

Bloody Hell! I can't believe we watched the same races. Superbikes were good but WSS was brilliant.

    Haven't seen the races yet.
Can't bring myself to shell out $70 a month for Sky when all that I'll want it for is to watch WSBK (and maybe that F1 stuff but shhhhhh, don't tell anyone here.)

The race reports that I've read seem to indicate that they were some good races. The finish chicane at Assen almost always serves up some last gasp action.

The post race interviews show the genuine enjoyment most of the current crop of WSBK riders get from the cut and thrust they give each other out there, and there's plenty of that! Very much akin to club racers attitude to a 'hard' but (mostly) fair racing.

Whereas, if they try that in MotoGP they will be jumped, as was Simo!

That's what I really like about WSBK.....................

I don't know Cmoore, I thought Assen dished up pretty good racing after the last one (Aragon). Some great fighting at the front with last lap moves.
Melandri didn't fair so well, which meant 'Manny' (that's her name isn't it ?) wasn't jumping around in front of the camera much . With those loooong legs and bouncy bits I Oooooh ! where was I ?

Anyway hope he does better next round.
