    Tri Series Round 1 - Hampton 8-December 2012

Nice day at the races yesterday, good racing in most classes, nice to see less rather than a crammed meeting...significant for the organisers that heaps left after the 2nd Superbike race...there is a keen group out there who follow the superbikes and the F2 series...thanks to livetiming !!

What happened to Sloan in the second race? Anyone know? Damn shame as it was shaping as a great race.

He lost the front in turn one and went down hard. He's okay though and will be back for Manfield. Bike has mainly cosmetic damage but they will go over it thoroughly. Nasty moment but maybe looked worse than it was.

What happened to Nick Coles bike?

and who saw the motards ride all over the yellow pit lane lines, dont know if any got disquilified, it was all the front runners doing it in the 1st race, only ONCE in the 2nd

Nick's motor died, not what he needed right now, poor guy! He's already struggling for sponsorship and now they have to strip it down and hope it's not major.

Hadn't heard about the consequences of the yellow line issue by the time we left.

Awesome day's racing! Bugger about Nick's engine, but glad to hear Choppa's ok. Some lively racing through all the classes.

Yea great racing in that class, alot of drafting across the start/finish.

Choppa - great ride in race 1, all the best for the next two rounds!

I talked to the main culprit after the meeting and despite them being very very clear of the consequences of crossing the line at riders breifing he didn't hear it as he only caught the tail end of the riders breifing.
they were warned after the first race and then behaved.

So once again the safty rules were ignored!?! We all should have been at riders briefing and heard it...if we were not there we shouldn't be on the track! I hope he was not included in the results as was promised explicitly at briefing...not being at riders briefing is not an excuse!

    It horrifies me!
Rules are only any good if they are enforced. Why aren't they?

In the 2nd race the rider that had one hand on the bars and one on the fork leg rode across the yellow lines, only once tho........................

    Instant DQ ! Easy !

It wasn't just one rider in the 1st race either, (it was the same rider as in the 1st and 2nd)

So did they all plead ignorant because they missed most of the riders breifing?

Throws the rules and points out window I bet all the riders running to the rules in 5th back would enjoy to be leading in the points now

It wasn't just the motards doing it...
The rules were pretty loose up there and a bit dodgy with the red lights / flags but, to be fair, it was a well run meeting all up.
