    Yamaha Scorpio leaking fuel!

Hey guys, I have recently bought a 2007 Yamaha Scorpio with 3000k's on the clock. It has been in storage for 3 years but oil etc was changed and it runs perfectly. Only problem as it dumps fuel out of the carb outlet pipe. If you start the bike it just starts continuously dripping.

    Any help would be awesome!

    Cheers

Stuck float? Give the bottom of the carb a tap and see if it frees up. Otherwise take the carb off and open it up, 3 years of petrol sitting in there wouldn't have done it any good.

The guy I bought it off took it apart to empty any fuel but it was clear, I opened it yesterday and it was completely clean and everything was moving as it should. Any more ideas?

    Alter the float level

Edit; actually, if you just turn on the fuel does it leak or only when it's running ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

What he said... cleaning the bowl will do fuck all.

Next question is, how did it get crap in there? Open your tank, have a look around for rust. Have a look between the tap and carb, is there a filter?

Be gentle when you clean the needle and seat (cotton bud), the needles typically have a rubber tip on them so be nice to it
