    Growing your own tobacco

Has anyone here tried to grow their own tobacco, and if so, did it turn out alright?

I tried some from out of the kilns when I used to pick it, bloody disgusting, takes a bit to cut it up too....and I was given about a kilo of locally grown stuff that looked good, but that tasted like crap too.
Easy enough to grow but it's the drying and blending thats the hard bit

As long as it's cut, rubbed and flavored correctly it's great. I'll be growing some this coming year.

Salvia Divinorum is perfectly legal in New Zealand, although National MP Jacqui Dean did try to get it banned. Growing tobacco for personal use is fine, selling it, bartering it, or even giving it away to your mates is not.

That is correct, if you sell flowers. Tobacco products need to be sold by a licensed seller, this way the gubberment can watch your sales etc and tax you, seeing as there are the obvious large taxation's on these things here.

Salvia divinorum. It's not illegal to cultivate or possess in NZ.

Well done that man. You realise it would be a better solution to give up the evil habit... I know I will 'one day'.

Manage to shift the Rover then?
