All this nostalgia....Mark1 Zephyr's were still almost new, I watched the Wahine go down, and as a young Republican I registered my complaint with the Monarchy by refusing to stand for the anthem at the 'flicks'.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

My memory is different MSTRS,I was a teenager when the Wahine went down,
Mk4 Zephyrs were around then (MOT had them)
Cop cars were grey with a single blue light on the roof.
10 cents could get you a piece of fish and some chips
    A pie was 25 cents.
Petrol was 36 cents a gallon (under 9 cents a litre).
3rd party insurance was part of your rego fee.
I protested against raising the level of Lake Manapouri.
1/2 dozen BIG bottles of beer was $1:97
Cars needed a valve-grind every 40,000 miles (70,00km) or so the gargres said.

Yeah but I thought you were talking about Mk1 Zephyrs and the Wahine in the same breath. (i.e. at the same time span)

Im turning 21 soon. But I still find it hard to act my age
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Cool! So you were born in 1973? Damn, you do look fine for a 32 year old!! I'd even go as far as to say that you've got the body of a 16-17 year old! Ummm... how was growing up as a teen through the 1980s? Like, was it fully rad??
