Can't imagine that the vid was faked, but hell an Eagle snatching a child, wonder how often that's happened in recorded history?

Looks like either the kids clothing didnt feel right to the birds talons or he was too heavy for the birds' inbuilt scales...bet thats a rare occurrence in the last couple hundred years at least, an Eagle going a human child.

I missed seeing the article on the news but just looking at the clip there I wondered if the kids clothing had anything to do with it, particularly as it's headgear looked possibly bird-like (orange colour, 2 big things that look like eyes...) Maybe the eagle mistook it for another bird?

Whatever, it makes the scene from "The Proposal" where an eagle takes grandma's dog, Kevin, look like um...I was going to say child's play. Ooops.

Joking aside, I bet those parents were packing themselves. I know I would have been. Wonder what kind of memory the kid will have of it as it gets older.

There's a lot of discussion about whether it is faked or not. Time will tell I'm sure.

Mongolians have used trained Golden Eagles to hunt wolves for generations. Those friggin birds get big, bigger than the one in the video and they are feckin strong!
I've seen videos of the buggers landing on a wolves back, going beak to teeth with the dog on the ground and winning through brute strength without suffering injury in return
    Oh here it is:

Personally I would not find it much of a stretch to believe that what is effectively a flying fuckin' wolf would have much trouble snatching a kiddie.
