    Ive ridden a few trikes.
A VW trike that in my opinion was friggin orrible. Dunno where the C og G was but it was WAAY aft of my bum.
Ive ridden a XJ750 based trike that was a heap of fun -especially in the wet.
Ive ridden a suby based trike that was --friggin fast.
The XJ based trike was by a country mike the most balanced to ride

read all the post so far with a great deal of interest. Obviously a lot of pro's and con's.
I bought two wheels not so long ago because I wanted to ride a proper motorbike before I was to old to do so.
When I reach my golden years I will buy a three wheeler because I have desire to continue with the thrill of the ride on a nice day,not so nice day, well hell any day as long as it's not shitty and pissing down. (Bit of a pussy when it come to being cold and wet. Definately not that dedicated to the cause.)
I see the three wheeler for me as a an intermediate form of transport between two wheel and a mobility scooter.

Riding gold wing trike at present they do have limitations when in traffic with passing but these days iv got time to cruise generally i have no issue with keeping up with most bikes on the straights and corners if i care to but generally set my own pace and enjoy the ride ... more so now i have accrued some demerits.. these thing do have pace when needed..

I rode one of those 45 ci Harley Meter Maid trikes about 25 years ago, pretty sure it even had a Jockey shift on it!

Weird ........... but certainly not typical of modern ones.

Harley is now producing a factory Trike.

I rode my mobility scooter down to Christchurch in Dec and it although it was a great ride the obsession with screwing over the boy racers down there meant anything low like my trike suffered badly at the hands of the evil plastic moulded speed bumps-some of the gas stations i could barely get into.......................but hell, it got plenty of looks and who can complain about that?
