Could be a goer as well, just got the bike back together after a six month dry spell. Good days ride is just the thing me thinks. Will let ya know closer to the 6th.

Where you planning on meeting/start point? (Gas station is always good)

So far I was planning to meet at my flat but I could put it more central if needed ie a BP or somewhere well known.

Just rode to mangaweka and back by rangiwahia today. Was planning on coming back by vinegar hill but I really enjoyed the twisty stuff going through Rangiwahia. So will probably hope to come back that way. The starting section near mangaweka goes along side cliffs which have made themselves known by depositing a few rocks here and there. Not really an issue for me since I didn't ham fist my way through it. Motorcycling has helped boost my healthy respect for my mortality.

Well mountain biking didn't exactly risk my mortality. More reinforce it. Motorcycling seems to be the step up.

Yep but I'm finding myself much more aware of the risk and consequences then when driving in a car.

    funny that ...

Risk is not the issue in itself. UN-acceptable risks are.

What THEY are ... is up to the individual to decide. AT THE TIME ...

Kbers that might be interested in coming,

9am at the Square Carpark (right in the centre near the I site building.) I'll be riding a Grey Hornet 250 (sanded and sprayed primer on it today).

Hope you fellas had a good trip, forgot your ride was on. Was up that way exploring about and finally taking the GSXR past the 100000km mark. Saw couple adventure bikes coming up the annie and then a few bikes went past while I was stopped to take this pic.

Feckin' awesome ride, was nice to take the HyoWhore out for a blat.
Some slightly excessive speeds at times!

Of course, being on a cruiser meant I couldn't keep up with the sporty/insane peoples around the corners, but I found my own little groove and had a blast.
Straighter sections of road allowed me to catch up

Those of you that DIDN'T come? You missed out on a great ride

That is known as ''having a healthy respect for your own mortality''
The CBR 250 in the pics looks hot as hell, the red seat sets it off nicely.
