    Beachy Merry Christmas

It feels like high summer is here early and its just been the most glorious few days. Been out on the kayak everyday for a fish but the sea has been uncomfortably from the south (always stink fishing) and two slightly 'lumpy' trips have been a bit of a waste of time but lordy lordy - the weather has been BLISSFULLY HOT and I'm off work for a bit so meh! Then theres that great white thats been hangin in my hood as well - gulp)

So its Christmas Eve and Miss Vicki still has her stores to service (retails a swine at xmas) so she was up at 3:30am and while I was angling for maybe breakfast (early) in bed she was just going to do a banana... Well that aint gunna cut for a hard days yakka is it so while she showered i got up and made a fresh fruit salad that couldnt be beat.... oh! and cereal and coffee and of course couldnt get back to sleep... bah... Now a REAL fishy guy would have headed off for a fish but instead I threw a hypo (type 1 diabetic) so I grabbed some sweet stuff and watched some cool stuff on TV that I dont usually have time for... Made breakfast for the grandsons, cleaned the Mk2 LeMans and headed off for a ride on the 1970 Triumph to get a wof ... (OK I did stop for some flasher rigs too)...

Headed home for lunch and had a ham salad that couldnt be beat..

Well like I said it is Christmas Eve and of course - while we 'thought' we had everything 3 large families could need, apparently we needed MORE so it was out with the 1971 AC50 hotrod 2 stroker and I wailed down to the shop.... Ah - the local dairy in Raumati South is a veritble cornicopia of victuals so job done there was time for a flash coffee at the Raumati South Social Club..

Ah - RAUMATI SOUTH - my little paradise... We have TWO cafes now, the social club and Vahalla AND we have a pedestrian crossing between them... What a place - you can get pissed at one cafe and walk to the other AND if you get run over it aint your fault... Who lives better than THAT! We are even coming up in the world and have a resident bum collecting fag bums... very cosmopolitan.

Any way I went the longer way home via the beach and it was BEYOND glorious... sooo... screamed home on the wee stroker and grabbed the grandsons, Miss Vicki plus the surk yak and boogie boards, piled into the manky camry wagon and HIT THE BEACH.. YOOHOO

Hoo boy - NOTHING tires you out like sun and surf... Its gunna be a early night and a happy one.

MERRY CHRISTMAS you guys - I hope you get what you need for Christmas 'cos I sure got what makes me happy.

Aye, she were a scorcher up the coast today... not even enough of a whisp to get the kite flying but plenty of fun to be had in the surf. Was you wearing a white helmet and not quite ATGATT chugging along paraparam? (we're disappointed with the ice cream selection at the cafe). Had some fuch n chups and headed for cover with the littluns... even though they piddled around for a couple of hours, 1 is still excited waiting for Santa , right next door to the cupboard with the pressies in.

Have a ball Paul. Merry Christmas to you and all.

    Cheers
