    Left or Right handed

Some time back I was at Hirepool or somesuch and as I signed for the digger or whatever, the assistant commented that 80% of people who came to hire equipment are left-handed.

As only about 15% of the population are lefties, I am wondering how many bikers are also. I have to assume that as KB is such an intelligent, practical, focused group that you are all like me. See even smilies recognise the normalcy of LH eg

    but others...

Note: this poll displays who voted for what.

Right-handed, left-eye dominant and left-footed. The viewfinders are always on the wrong side of cameras and, even worse, video cameras. My Grandpa encouraged me to shoot lefthanded when I was a kid so's I could aim with both eyes open. I've been doing that naturally since I was 13 or so. No problem unless using an automatic rifle that throws the hot cases out and to the rear. Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch...

The FN 7.62 SLR required some deft hand work when clearing jams but was otherwise OK for lefthanded use. The M16 was great for a burnt cheek.

I seem to attract lefthanders - in our whanau of 8,half are bent sinister, there is no history of cack handedness in either my wife's or my families....and I am the only one to suffer from a stutter. In one company I worked for at one time more than half the staff were gauche.Always been a leftwinger......

In terms of writing, right handed. When it comes to holding a cricket bat, golf club etc, left handed.

Write with my right, pick up stuff/tie knots/thread needles etc left handed. Unfortunately I f*cked my left wrist up by breaking it a few too many times, so can't do anything heavy with it...
    Left eye dominant like Hitcher.

In my family most are left handed or ambidextrous; only my granddad and my dad are 'properly' right handed...

There seems to be a fault in the link between my brain and my left hand. I dont trust my left hand to do anything. Legs are ok though, I am natural footed but can wakeboard just as comfortably switch.

Right-handed for writing, but do a lot of things with my left hand. Hold the phone to my right ear - feels weird if I use the left!

Like Hitcher, I always look through a camera viewfinder with my left eye - real pain for me being a photographer as there are always heaps of controls on the right side of a camera and I often change the settings with my nose! I also put my left foot down when I stop. I'm also pedantic about spelling and grammar - be scary if we were related...!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Im luckly ambidextrous except when it comes to using a hammer. Then for some reason after 20seconds I cant use either of my hands

I was ambidextrous, still am with my feet. But obviously right handed now, maybe one day I'll be ambidextrous again.
