    Gerry Anderson has passed away

One very talented man. I loved the Thunderbirds as a kid (and still now)

RIP and thanks for all the fun times as a kid spellbound to the telly watching; Stingray; Thunderbirds; Joe 90; UFO; Captain Scarlett. Well Joe 90 wasn't one of my favourites but I still watched em all.

His name in the credits was burned into my memory, and Sylvia Anderson. His wife at the time I assume.

    The Guy had such imagination.

Ditto here. Had the toys, thunderbirds 1-4, never got 5, lady p`s pink roller, even an interceptor and captain scarlets spectrum patrol car. The only thing I still have is a captain scarlet hanky that I stopped using years ago but have tucked away in my drawer.

Makes me smile to think of these programs. RIP Gerry

Just checked and I still have the Thunderbirds hanky in my drawer. Must be around 42 / 44 years old. (No I probably haven't used it for about for damn near 40 years.)

Our whole family is saddened by that news - my wife and I, my kids and my granddaughter, my granddaughter is a big fan of our collection of Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet DVD's. I grew up with Torchy and Thunderbirds in black & white as a kid....I was a bit old for Joe 90 and Captain Scarlet....but still, as a Hippy you were able to watch kids programs without too much ridicule. And then they came around on TV again for my kids.

My ring tone of the Captain Scarlet kettle drums has more meaning now.

I have a couple of die-cast T/Birds here...1-2-3, lost 4.... (think some kids were playing with it years ago)
    Never got Tracey Island.
He also did Joe 90/Captain Scarlet (that bit of wood was the puppet ) and one other? ....edit: Stingray.

So does it have some 40yr old snot on it or did it get a wash before it was put away?

His passing actually made the news on my local radio station this am. I had to explain the Thunderbirds to my
co-workers and how cool it was/still is.

Well thats sad news. Gerry made some very cool TV programs.

Above my desk at home to this day is all the Dinky cast muck metal Thunderbirds (minus No5) Stingray and the USS Enterprise.
