    Regretfully he was a bit late to save the boat (f/glass Colt) but certainly did a great job of stopping the fire potentially spreading into the countryside .
    In the Jet Boat Club competition rallies there is often a jet wash event where targets on the shore (& I don't mean sun bathing ladies) need to be hit for points. All good practice for incidents like boat fires.

    from another forum i am on... jetboating

    motor died (308 Holden) and wouldn't start then smoke/flames, was well maintained and immaculate condition, including a pre season check over every year, also not used a lot. Fiberglass colt so right off.
    Video-er was not the driver, just a bystander. Owner would like to say many thanks to the guy who tried to put it out but was too late. Cause unknown at this stage but as I said was a well maintained boat which he had owned for many years (approx 14).
