    Blown fork seal

So went for a blast over the Rimutakas today and at some point I blew a seal on my forks, which I discovered once I got home (thought the handling was a bit off but figured it was my imagination).
Going to get both forks done at a local bike shop, because I figure its probably the original oil in there.

My question is; Can I ride the bike there or should I get them to collect it?

I seem to have lost a fair bit of oil, I am guessing the seal went on my last trip over the hill and I rode all the way to Wellington like that.

    Cheers

True, but if I unknowingly did any damage, I don't want to make it worse...

How could it get worse ??? Nothing has escaped but oil. Wellington roads aren't perfect ... but bush trails they're not.

Cool, I was thinking along the lines of metal gouging inside the fork tube or something.

Ta I will book it in when they open again.

Just have a good check for oil on the brakes before you leave, sometime the oil can leak out when its sitting and run down onto the disc or calipers or both. Riding it wont damage the forks directly, but an impact with something else might
