Anyone up for a ride to Coromandel tomorrow 2/1/2013?

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this but guess I will find out!

Recently arrived to live in Auckland from Christchurch and keen to ride around the Coromandel Peninsula tomorrow. I will be at BP Centre, Bombay, outside the Autobahn cafe at 10.15am, departing 10.30am for anyone keen to join.

Hey mate welcome to Auckland. I dont recommend Coromandel at this time of the year. Super dangerous, lots of cars and camper vans and you need to be so careful of the popo. Give it a few weeks and ill go with you.

O.k, thanks, though most people would already be at their destination; so roads will be normal summer time traffic flow

doesn't work like that. You get several peaks and flows at this time of year.......young uns leave after NY, families move onto the Peninsula. You make up your own mind....but you should give consideration to the opinion of those that know........if for no other reason than the fact that the frustration you may encounter will spoil the day. Up to you

Whats with the C/Loop obsession?...there are far more exciting places to ride that will get the endorphins flowing just nicely, think outside the Oval

Head out to port waikato, or down to glen murray and out past waingaro hot pools.

Watch 22 from Heatherington rd sth for about 15ks, lots of patches with loose metal all over the place and bugger all signs. Worse heading nth, we were out there yesterday.

But towards the Waingaro end it was bloody awesome as always

Quite the amusing amount of muppet townies attempting to navigate a simple gravel road and set up a campsite...
Water was nice in my high quality boat Click image for larger version.
