    Blah Book Recommendations Please

Guys, I recently got myself a few good books to read on military biographies. These were M Coys Marines, Jarhead and a book by an english royal marine called Amongst The Marines. They were all good. Please can anybody recommend any similar books for me to read. Also the Amongst The Marines book was very different to the other books because it was a personal story about what goes on amongst the ranks.

Any recommendations along these lines will be most appreciated. Also: Can anybody tell me if there are any good books about bikers on the road and the hells angels stuff?

for military books with exact history and very well written.
Try Stalingrad by Anthony Beever, he's written many chronicalling special military events throughout history.

Try this: Looking for Trouble: SAS to Gulf Command - The Autobiography, writtern by Sir Peter De La Billiere. Sir Peter was a very ordinary guy who rose to C-I-C, 22 SAS and commanded UK forces in the first Gulf War. It's not a "Gee Whiz" book, quite the reverse. It's a wonderful story of a very ordinary, humble and unassuming man who did extraordinary things.

Another couple of excellent books have been written by Pablo Mason - Pablo's War and Pablo's travels. He was a Tornado pilot and quite a hooligan! His books are very funny as well as giving a great insight into being a combat pilot.

    That should keep you going....

P.S Another great read is "Don't Cry for Me Sargeant Major". Written about "other ranks" in the Falklands. Authors Robert McGowan and Jeremy Hands, Publisher Warner Books, ISBN # 0-7515-0932-9

Chickenhawk is good, it's about vietnam chopper pilots. Damn crazy stuff. Excellent read. As for HAMC stuff Ralph 'sonny' Bargerer original pres' of the HAMC has a biography, it's called Hells Angel funnily enough.
