We have the option of telling him to accept the fact we'll be doing the work - and then doing it in 2, 3 or 4 goes.

We'll get a better job done, won't fume the guy out of his own house, and will be able to do things like move furniture around.

All in one hit is an admirable goal, but without endless resources it's pretty damned difficult... and you end up with paint on furniture etc etc. Bets of intentions but not the best results...
I'm very happy to help, but I have this thing for quality work too (not having a go at anyone either - I think this is all good... very VERY good.. and I'll help any way I can)

We know you would Paul - thanks for the job related info mate - much appreciated.

I don't think it will be 4 whole days in a row - most probably over a weekend and evening after work if thats what is needed. Either case it will be a bit tough commuting from down south everyday

He's a little bugger don't think he'd be able to put up much of a fight - should be easy to knock him out and package him away if he puts up some resistance.

By the way anyone have a spare room for the old kid and the young kid to stay in while we play "Bob the Builder"???

The little one goes to his mum on the weekends...
and the big one will cope... and he will find somewhere to kip down...

He does know what is happening guys...

PS: When I painted the inside of my place, I stayed at home...
Waterbased paints don't throw out the same fumes as oil based paints.

I havent put in about painting door frames or windows frames as that should be done in a oil-base paint.... lasts a lot longer and is a lot tougher with the little fellas around...

GEEEZZUZZZ ..I thought I had been descreet. Well kinda left enough detail so those that know him would help out.

Awesome response (PMS and on here) from you guys and gals thank you! I just need to set a date and since he now knows about it after a visit from Crashe the secret is no more.

Opps meant to add...the materials I can get at a very (ahem) reasonable price so I will provide most of them. I will need to inspect myself and see if gib stopping is required and heat lamps to speed up the process.

Beer and BBQ is a great idea and I agree MDU I sure dont want to do a rough job.

HE IS A GOOD OLD BIKER THATS HELPED ME

Hopefully i will be able to help as i have had about 9 years as a plumber a few years ago. I could look at the spouting and may be able to get some paint off my bro as he is a painter and i am into DIY at my home.
I have a lot of tools for this job so hopefully the date and time will be good for me to help.

    Gary.

Right you lot - I've got $50 on the table for materials too... this ain't no Telethon - more like a bikeathon?

Webathon... aaa who cares - the cash is there and it's legit. I'm bringing it on the day.

If he who will benefit is reading this, my bike (the RF900) will have the keys in it and the tank is full. You break it you fix it, you crash it you pay the excess... otherwise GO FOR GOLD!

PS - the first tank is on me
    MDU

edit - if it breaks down... I pay for that... I'm not setting you up for nothin - just want to be clear about that.
