Any paper work for the repairs and damages?
    Any service history?
Can you measure the thickness of the discs?
Cheers, reasonable price, if it'll go through a re-vin well enough

sorry no p/w.Only got the turners receipt it was purchased on. All that its had done was a new rear wheel and tyre and new rear lights and brackets it drives fine don't think its ever had chassis damage or anything like that. Not sure on discs best to view to avoid any disappointment's as I am not clued up with bikes

Hmmm if it was just dereg all good.

But written of because of previous damage means that it will need a frame cert which is the expensive bit...

It's an MC22 (I thought they started in 1991?) so you can probably get more than what you're asking FWIW.

Can anyone confirm if its been accident damaged that it will actually need a frame cert? if this is the case then it may just be useful for parts or to transfer onto another frame ?
And how can I find out the exact reason its been dereg? Will it be listed in the system somewhere?
How do I tell if its an mc22?

if its not sold by the end of the week if will go on trademe I need it gone and it owes me 1500 all up so hoping to get that back

It will need a engineer check if its been written off.

Just spoke to a vtnz guy and he gave me a local engineer who will do the engineering check against factory measurments.

This is required for the recompliance certificate that is needed to then new plates and reg along with a brake declaration.

Cost of brake decleration and engineer check is 350 dollars. and then your plates and reg check at vtnz afterwards will be about 400 odd dollars.

    Not too bad but pricey.

Your model is mc22 no doubt about that.

THe engineer will require the damage report and any pre photos to compare against the repair.

I am happy to pay 1400 maybe a little more if you have a damage report or pre repair photos.

    Lovely bikes the mc22.

If i purchase it will be going back on the road for my wife to use as a commuter.

And no some mc22 came out in 90 as a pre production run on grey imports in japan.

They retail for about 4k in really good nick with no bad history.

But alot of people dont like a bike thats been written off.

hopefully ive helped and as i said i am happy to pickup and pay cash.

If you want a report on the bike just use 0900 the vir and get a full report on either the frame number or number plate.

    Costs about 25 dollars.

To my (limited) knowledge anyone "competent" can do the brake declaration? It was something like that last time I helped something through

I've never seen a pre-'91 MC22, nor heard of one, ya learn something every day

It could be somebody at ltsa made a mistake with the year when the bike was first imported.

Vir report says 1990, and google shows some 1990 mc 22 models when searching.

Depends on the how anal some testing officers are. Vinz require and engineer brake declaration but vtnz will let you do it yourself.

The engineer who will do the cert check sai. He would do a brake check when he does the rest so guess it just covers the bases.
