Hehe, I would actually match my GN with that jacket. But I expect I will have similar problems with its fit than your Sharon has. Male jackets usually always have the same fitting issues on a female body.
However, if I'm going to AKL anyway and you guys are in, I would love to have a look anyway. Just send me a PM with your details and I can txt you on the road.

so heading off to Auckland now. Bounce001 gave me a good tip with the Lifestyle Imports so that will be the first stop. Then possible Red Baron and that Army Surplus store in Onehunga.

Feel free to send me a PM anyway, nzspokes (I would have sent you one but I'm not allowed yet..), will try and check them on the way.

It doesn't feel very safe anyway. Some of my friends back in Germany have really nice thick leathers and they feel so much more protective.

I don't really care that I have a tiny bike, I still want to have the best gear possible (that I can afford of course). Taupo is pretty useless for that kind of stuff. Any idea where to go? Ordering online won't help me much as I want gear that actually fits this time.

    Many thanks for your help

not sure if anyone has mentioned this but check out Kerrie from Motorcycle safety wear. My partner had a leather jacket custom made which she is happy with. I have a jacket and pants combo that Kerrie made also.

You could also try Sam from Celtic leathers. He is a Manxman who lives in NZ, he did some work for me on my track leathers (one piece) which I am very happy with. If and when I replace them I would get a suit made by him.

There is also Leda Leathers in Wellington. I have never dealt with them but they do race suits.

Ive had to look at this a few times over the years because I am not a standard size. And it doesnt matter what it costs (i.e. what label it has) if it does not fit you you may as well not be wearing it.

Having said that you will have to gauge your commitment level because all my suggestions will result in you having way more money invested in your gear than your bike...... but a GN is a stepping stone, huh? may as well start how you mean to go on.... Good luck.

Not sure of the sizing but this looks like a good set of leathers for a great price!

Great suit, but unfortunately not my size.

Anyway, I have a great jacket now, so I only need pants now. I think a trip to qmoto and 1tonne might be a good idea, but they are not exactly around the corner.

Hopefully. Every car that passes me seems to crash lately. Can't explain why, but it seems to be quite dangerous on the roads.

If you are buying QMoto, best try before you buy, goes for all online buying that is not world wide brand.
I stand to be corrected but, QMoto don't do a female cut ?

They can do female cut, if you get stuff made. But it doesn't make much of a difference for bike pants and my jacket is a male cut anyway.

But yeah, don't want to buy anything without trying it first.

I went to check them out after Bounce told me about them. Great pants, but they didn't work out for me. Somehow they were either too long or too tight.

    Actually through kb

Also got a set just last week through trademe. You just have to keep your eyes open. Look what people are selling and then look up the brand and the gear to see what the quality might be like. That is if you have a limited budget available.

Lifestyle imports out of Franklin (?) have quite nice leather gear, which is not too expensive. If QMOTO or 1Tonne weren't so far away I might have bought my leathers from them.

If you're close to AKL (have forgotten to look) MSW can make leathers for you. Heard good things about them.
