Does put into perspective, 100,000 machines ,(and that's got to be an estimate) most of which are used every day. Wonder how the fatalities per hour compare to road traffic.

A very high amount if you're going by km travelled...

If it helps you 2 to kiss and make up, I could run a dozer out and level this fuckin hill for ya. Then you could spray on some nice flat ground, and everyone is happy again.

Probably. Are you suggesting they should travel at the same speed?

Amazed me when I was quad hunting, the mileage most of them clock up. 50,000 km is nothing.

"He said "ninety-nine point nine per cent" of farmers were trained in operating quad bikes safely, wore helmets and kept their vehicles properly maintained."

Methinks Federated Farmers president Bruce Wills is talking a load of shit.

Why is there quotes around the 99.9% bit, maybe the reporter put their own interpretation on the words following, cos no way 99.9% of farmers wear helmets bit of a strecth for the other two criteria too, but those ones are also a question of degree.

Driving around the Central Plateau I get to see a lot of farmers going about their daily routine.

The only people riding farm bikes that I have ever seen wearing helmets are farmhands working on the Landcorp stations.
