Speed is not always the issue. It can be an issue, but that above is the sort of shit that causes the accidents. So how and why the fuck is a moron like this on the road? Because the license system does not work. If I was a cop I'd be focusing on this. .
Possibly a foriegn tourist? Old person? Drunk?

And cops do 'focus' on this when they see it.

or if they get *555 about it.

My granddaughter is on a restricted licence, and has been for many years.

As she commented, it meets all her needs. She doesn't need to drive 24 hours a day, doesn't need a higher drink drive limit or a car full of passengers so she felt no need to upgrade.

Thats how I feel. I don't need to drive an articulated truck, front end loader, bulldozer or bus, so similarly, I think my licence meets my needs.

I can understand younger people not wanting to throw hundreds of dollars at a test when they are set up to fail, and its for a class of licence they don't want.

Or more realistically just another full licenced NZ driver. I can clearly see now why forcing people through licences is a good thing it helped this persons driving sooo much

On that note there's a green cab taxi driver here in Wellington who not only has a full but has the special passenger licence too. We [read: NZ] gave her these licences, they are not foreign (tho she is) and yet on the motorway she accelerates hard to 100, brakes hard to 80, accelerates hard to 100 brakes hard to 80 & this carries on till back on 50km/h areas again where she proceeds to drive 40km/h... yep our licence system works alright, & just think we can have more people like these on our roads with forced licence progression. Another wonderful idea from the Govt

what's the point? she wasn't the most dangerous I've had the displeasure of meeting, probably just the most annoying & realistically speaking with the quality of taxi drivers out there, there should really be no taxi company in operation.

impeding the flow of traffic, could be argued dangerous driving, if she was a teen & in a Mazda familia 323 you'd also try the excessive acceleration. I'm sure there's one about consideration or annoyances too (but I'd have to go read to find out for sure & I don't feel like doing that)

excessive display of acceleration, also have to exceed the posted speed limit for this to enact.

so what law is the sustained loss of traction from then?
The Boy Racer Act is the title, it contains sections within the Act. The discussion was about one of the sections within the Act.

It's a name given to an ammendment of the Land transport Act 1998 or so, but what relevance is it.
