You mean the outright bike lap record ?

It's like he had that FFM forever(Pete). That front brake on the 50 went on my H100.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Very cool. I'll add the NZ 50cc GP as a new listing, from memory the GP title is actually different from the F5 title (read: rules. But someone please correct me if I'm wrong). And if the south islanders have a more current list of winners please contact us.

But along with the bucket sidecars we will almost cover the entire small cc racing history of NZ (might have to add a photo page to this).

Keep the info coming; as I'm sure there is a book in this somewhere/sometime (yes I'm hinting at you Kerry!!!)

Well they aren't really buckets so its hardly relevant as in the same way that 125GP isn't buckets despite some of our bikes having the same cc.

and this coming from the last person to win the 50cc open GP

(in 08 but the paperwork wasn't done properly & there were riders in it with day licences blah blah so it isn't MNZ ratified).

Yea but... Buckets are a bit of an off shoot in a way. While starting with the air force boys having some fun, you do have to think about the drivers behind some of the basic rules and engine sizes (again please correct me here).

But there is a lot of racing history inside buckets and other small classes (offen intermixed in the past); somewhat worthy of a history lesson (or picture book); that might inspire others (and it is a unique story of new Zealand racing, ESP given limited support; it just keeps going from strength to strength)...
