What's happened to me shoulder pads?

Slipped the old Fieldsheer leather on yesterday & the shoulder felt awfully lumpy. The pads have broken up. Apart from slipping off the hanger all the way to the wardrobe floor the jacket has had no knocks. No teeth marks so the Terrior has not been at it. Bizarre.
Anybody know where I can get replacements?

Phew, this thread has really taken off. Riveting stuff, eh..

Any hoo, I checked the elbow pads & they are poked too so I guess it's just old age caused them to break up. If you have older leathers it may be worth checking the armour at home before testing it on the road.
Still need to find replacements if anybody can point me in the right direction.

I have a Spidi cordura jacket ( quite old) that has done the same. It looks like the glue holding the foam to the plastic armour has dried out and the rubber foam has gone brittle and broken up. I tried replacement pads but they wont stay in place.

I haven't worn it for a long time now, and guess its telling me that all good things come to an end.

Cheers, not a bad price either. I see they are selling forkskins for Jewish riders, too.

It has crossed my mind.... In my search for new pads I did spot a couple that caught my fancy & had the wallet scurrying for cover. Did buy some new gloves, though.
