80$ to cover you if you're bleeding to death on the roadside is pretty good value, really.

plus if you're st john member you dont pay, or, get 3 free callouts a year or something.

wellington has a free ambulance service, paid for by council (rates) at public insistence.

Again showing what little you know,
Fire service is funded by the government, just is some areas they run a volunteer service (people not the station)
St johns accident are paid for by ACC, MOH, DHB's and local council.

You pay for nothing so why are you complaining that you get nothing free?

prove it of GTFO my thread, homo.

1- they're funded by "compulsory levies" inflicted on "land owners" and via insurance. 2- they're not funded by central govt/direct (income/GST) taxation, thus are required to work to a budget allocated by central government.

Your thread? choosing to be a part of society today then are we?

Just a question, who inflicts the compulsory levies...

I know for a fact (through indirect experience) that PN charges 50$ for an ambo, I don't call 50$ "nothing"

i' part of KB society every day, i signed up for it, i generally agree to the rules, and i have the option of leaving any time i like, kindof like, a society.

who inflicts? i assume whichever company you contract with for some kind of insurance/ land registry/ building compliance porpoises.

it is legislated, but so are speeding fines. your point is invalid.?

When you are in the ditch with a broken pelvis, or have been plastered all over a cage, who you gonna call? won't be ghostbusters will it,
Doesn't matter what you earn, that $50 is gonna be real good value.......

Axle however, should pay the actuall operating costs, a great deal more than $50 for a call out

Cost me $86 to ride the ambo from Gore to Invers a few years ago, would of been dead otherwise I suppose. Was well worth it, depending on who you talk to.
