Hyosung gt250 front lights don't automatically turn on

When I turn my bike on the front lights don't turn on as they should. The back light turns on though. When i press the pass button, the highbeam light works fine but the bottom doesn't come on. The low beam light comes on when I balance the light switch in the middle. Any ideas? Thanks.

Faulty switch I would think. Both filaments go, and so bulb and wiring and fuse intact.

never mind, i found the problem. I was under the impression that all bikes had the lights hard-wired to turn on at all times. On my bike, on the right handle bar, i can choose to turn the lights on and off.
