There is something afoot. Someone can't be this stupid and not be in the labour party.

I do both .. a good rabbitt will give me at least three meals for me and the wife .. sometimes more ...

Roast the Rabbit - take back legs and some meat - two meals (one each)

Stew the remains .. with plenty of veges etc .. two more meals (one each)

Put the rest in a pie .. that will actually give us half a pie for one meal (a piece each) .. so two meals (two each)

So a good size rabbit can give me a total of meals for four days meat (eight servings) off one rabbit - great healthy food and real cheap .. the cost of a .22 shell (or a reusable arrow) plus vegies ...

Oh yeah ... but ummm ... they too (kereru/kukupa) are a protected species .. not that I'm that hot on upholding the law .. but well .. you know ... the greenie/environmentalist tinge comes through now and then ...

I shot a pheasant on the lawn one day - I thought I'd never tried pheasant so I took it ... it tasted like rabbit - so I thought I'd rather have the pretty birds around and eat the pests ...

It is indeed, and a very beautiful one. Amazing what the birdlife is like with no rats or cats.

I hate facial hair. But when you are out on a remote island you gotta look the part.

There's got to be a lot of meat on a kakapo ... and they are such an evolutionary dead end ... it's a waste of time trying to save the stupid fuckers ... they just sit around honking plaintiffly ... hoping a female will wander by ... dumb dumb dumb ..
