Sorry thats not good eonugh, other humans have killed native birds, changing your ways is no longer an option, you have to leave. You see whats wrong with trying to have such a binary viewpoint yet?

I like all animals (except introduced pests) but we always used to get a laugh when the arrogant cats used to come over and try to take on the chooks.

Yep. Bizzarely enough, in the middle ages, pure black cats were pretty much wiped out because they were seen as "evil" due to their association with "witches" ffs.

We should wipe out humans too, because that species has a far greater impact on the environment than any other animal species. Selfish, greedy cunts with their toxic chemicals being released into the environment and mass habitat destruction.

How do you plan to kill all the pests that the cats kill, which would otherwise cause a worse problem?

Kerridge is saying we should not get rid of cats because they ony kill a few native birds - I'm saying cats kill native birds - don't give a fuck how many - cats kill native birds, let's get rid of cats ...

What no-one is actually suggesting is how and when ... and everyoen is acting as if we go out and kill all cats tomorrow!

I suggest that we try to exterminate ALL feral cats (take quite a number of years .. they've never managed it with the deer population) and at the same time neuter ALL domestic cats so they don't breed - and outlaw any new cats from January 1, 2015.

Given the life epectancy of cats we should see the cat population start to decrease around 2030.
You just said you swerve around possums where possums have a greater effect on the native bird population than cats.

Let's see, mice, rats, possums, rabbits, weasels, stoats, ... shall i list some more?

Maybe you should stick to a profession that actually deals in facts.

    I can't believe I'm agreeing with you!

That was my first thought - Kills birds, hard on the environment.

Dont take this the wrong way, but I agree, all it takes is the fitting of a bell on the cat , and the problem is largely solved
