"Sorry Officer, umm.... my yellow power band got stuck wide open"
That would be awesome I'd like to do that one day.
Anyway enough thread jacking. OP, you'll be fine, I bet in a few weeks you'll be like wtf was I ever worrying about?! Best thing is though, in your own time, I guess, face your fear! For me, it's been good because I didn't want to be going on an "adventure" and get to something (like a hill start) where I was like OMFG what do I do... and ruin my whole ride. It's not easy though, the feeling in the pit of your tummy!
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.
Feal the fear, and do it anyway........ False Expectations Appearing Real.![]()
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
Actually ... it easier to practice on a straight DOWNHILL street/road. You still need the brake to stop you moving. Almost the same ... but if you get it wrong ... fewer issues (like stalling)
Also good for practicing changing the foot on the ground to change down gears to first to start off ... if you didn't get first before you stopped.
When life throws you a curve ... Lean into it ...
