1992 Suzuki Bandit 250 "Jolene"
Okay! So due to some dubious decisions on my part, the Bandit has to go. Introducing Jolene!

My first bike. I have owned it for the last three years.
A 1992 Suzuki Bandit 250, one of the 45h.p. models as evidenced by the indented clutch cover.
Excellent learner bike! Handles nicely and definitely one of the quicker 250s around. I have done the ton on this bike quite a few times, on closed roads of course because that's responsible.
Plenty of grunt, looks great and rides well.
Overall, in lovely condition for her age. Serviced every 5,000km on the dot by George of Motorcycle Doctors.
Original paintwork is in great shape for it's 20 years, just a few light scratches on the tank. On the fibreglass cowl, some paint has lifted off due to a bad paint job however it could easily be rattle-canned at home.
Warrant and rego until April.
During my ownership, she has had:
New maintenance-free Yuasa battery, fed regularly on trickle charger. Very strong battery.
DID o-ring chain that has still got a fair bit of life in it. Sprockets in good shape.
New plugs and OEM air filter.
Gimbel fibreglass seat cowl painted to match rest of bike.
Small cafe-style headlight fairing.
Alloy bullet turn signals on front.
Knurled alloy footpegs.
Oggy Knobs fitted.
Adjustable brake and clutch levers.
Bar end mirrors.
BT-45 Battleax tyres with a fair and warrantable bit of tread left.
Stebel Nautilus air horn (when you blow it, people fucking well look!)
Plus a set of new EBC kevlar brake pads about to go in the front caliper.
Spare parts:
I have a full set of rider and pillion footpeg brackets, bought them to polish up and fit but never got the time.
Also have a brand new NOS plastic tail piece that I picked up on ebay for a song, just in case it ever gets broken.
Still have the pillion seat (fibreglass cowl just has two screws holding it on, easy swap).
I also still have the side covers, I don't have them mounted as one is missing a screw and rubber bush. Should be easy to find.
She is super reliable, have never had ANY problems apart from some carb issues when I first bought - these were all sorted by George with some new needles and needle jets.
Very strong motor, never skips a beat
used both for commuting and given a good high speed run at least once a week to keep her healthy.
Gets a lot of compliments and comments due to the cafe styling. A very cool and unusual learner bike with some personalised touches, with a lot more grunt than modern 250s and a 17,000rpm redline!
