    LAMs cruiser for tall wife?

Hope you ladies can help me, looking for suggestions for a LAMs approved cruiser for the wife. Got her a voucher for her basic handling skills last Mothers Day, which she's done. Just got to get her learners now.

No idea of budget as yet, but all suggestions gratefully appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.

How tall is tall? I am 5ft 7 (and a half?, hah) I just have a gn250, suits me very well, but it's not for everyone I guess.

5'11" - she did her basic handling on a ginny250, way to small for her.

The Hyosung are suppose to be best for taller riders

Cruisers are generally recommended to shorter ladies, as they all have low seat heights, compared to more regular bikes.

As Rhys said, the Hyosung (250 or 650 - same frame) are more suitable for larger riders...

There's been another thread recently about larger LAMS bikes, I'll dig it up.

Im 5'10 and my S40 Boulevard is all good nice and roomy. pretty cheep to i picked up my 2008, mint cond with 15,000ks for $5,500.

If she wants a cruiser that is not to heavy etc id recommend taking an S40 for a spin.

Thanks Monkfish, also looking at The Hyosung GV650.

She's still got to get her learners first.

Pics of the wife please, so we can make a sensible suggestion based on the information we have been given. Nudes are preferable.

    I've got a dr650 and love it.

It's learner legal and a barrel full of fun.
The DR650 is good for tall,or short riders as there are different height setting options on the bike as standard. It's nice and light, 147 kgs dry which makes it very nimble and SO easy to ride.

It would an awesome first bike, every home should have one!

    I have a 2009 GV650 I'm selling on behalf of a Mate in Australia.
Black/chrome one. Just getting it's 5000km service done.
Could show it to you in Te Kuiti or somewhere if interested.
$7000. would also consider a trade-in on it if helpful. Can arrange finance through bike shop if needed.

    Cheers.

Well she went out and found a bike and then left me to negotiate & pay for it.

2007 Hyosung GV250 Aquila. Got it at an absolutely fantastic price on account of no rego (on hold), no WOF, no battery, no mirrors, missing right hand air filter cover, tank was dropped when changing spark plugs and has been re-sprayed with a rattle can and needs a back tyre. So needs a little work, but did start first go with fresh petrol & a jump.

I'll have time to work on it while she studies for her learners.
