    If you check TM you'll find wildly varying asking prices for all models. It is very hard to put a value on an earlier MX5. Car dealers offered us $3500 trade in but even '89 1600's can be asking $7 - $8k.

    Personally I'd pony up an extra 4k and buy a fully featured leather-bound RX8.

    They also use oil in normal operation. Can't recall the stated consumption though.
