So, what is the definition of a sports car?

It's basic, pure fun with no pretensions to be anything else.

what MG should have been?...not even in the same time line!

I guess by definition an MX5 is a sports car but if someone offered me a shot of their "sports car" and it was an MX5.......I'd be disappointed. It's a very nice car though and definitely the best performing and handling roadster within its price range. Best of luck with the sale and very decent (and brave) of you to put it on KB..

You summed it up nicely. Where can you get this for this kind of money? Name any so-called rival and see how much you have to pay.

I've been on KB since '04. I enjoy the play...

Maybe so, but by the time the MGB was failing the Japs were already ahead of the game and offering better build quality, performance and reliability. I do feel sad about it as I wanted an Austin Healey Sprite back then because it wasn't the Midget.

Conversely, I'm mildly confident that Mrs. Bears smile wouldn't do it for me.

She only smiles at me like that so that's okay. However even at her age she gets second looks and men still try chatting her up.
