Nail guns use bugger all air... some you can set others are set via the presure you set on the compressor...

I would check your cyclinder and drain it... most common thing people forget to do...

Depending on the gun may need a bit of oil... exaple most brad guns a couple of drops in the air hose connector before you use it for the day... some guns have an oiler nipple or something...

    Choice love nail guns.

Nailed myself to a frame with one once.

Coming down cause it was raining, had gun in one hand an lowering myself with the other when I slipped an bumped the gun into the frame at the same time as I squeezed the trigger.

Through the corner of the frame an pinned me to a nog by my index finger.

Good thing I had my side cutters in my belt because my mates weren't being very helpfull,,,,,funny pricks aye.

Learn't a couple of things about site safety that day

I like my Paslode guns got 2 of them. 1 for nails and 1 for brads.
On decks I use Paslode Deckfast nails that have groves and a round head. On the gun I use the No-Mar tip that has a rubber block on the end that leave no mark on the decking.

yeah i have an old 20 or 30lt off an el-cheapo buninngs which the last guy fucked (10lt of water and he was wondering why it wasn't painting so good ) so i took the motor off for a grinder and was going to use for a sandblaster, but haven't, so it might get tacked on...

i'm not a complete dick, despite the prevailing dispersions around here. i've got a regulator on the tank, nail gun reckons it will run from 70-90 IIRC, there is no water in my receiver, nor in the cylinder (it wouldn't stay there long eh, unless it hydraulicly locked up...) and i do use tooling oil, for all my tools.

Get a couple of old lawnmower motors and make your own compressor.
