    Wiring a tacho?

    Have a new after market tacho here for the race bike that i cant get to work.

    Has three wires out of it that hook up the same as the three wires out of the original tacho (different colors but have them the right way around).

    It says on the instruction some models need a high voltage signal line so was wondering if thats the problem and what is that and how do i hook one up?.

    Which of your bikes is it? And what's the make/model of the tacho?

    1987 gsx400x impulse and the tacho not sure i got it off ebay and said universal fit.
