Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.

Is there a North Shore one?

My only big scare was because of the wind so the bridge in this weather is a little daunting.

This thread is more of an informal get together sort of ride, you might be looking for something more organised?

Ahhh the good ol' harbour bridge. It's not that scary, once you've crossed it you'll realise just how easy it is. There's nothing to be afraid about, 'onest

Yea I found NASS about 2 minutes after I posted

Haha I'm still in my eager beaver months, so typically I want to try everything NOW NOW NOW!!!!

Then again I'm still all shy and un-co

You're on the shore so there's plenty of places to go and ride. Lots of open/empty spaces around industrial areas for practicing on weekends. Once you've got your confidence up you'll find your riding improves tremendously. Just take it at your pace and don't be afraid to stop and ask for help along the way.

I'm out of my carpark days, and into my going-to-long bay-and-getting-drowned-in-thunderstorm days. With occassional 'don't you dare stop on this hill....BUGGER'

Ah right-o. Yes thunderstorms suck, but you'll find you will gain the ability to read the weather better than any forecaster on TV. And even then you'll still get it wrong half the time

Have you been on the motorway at all?

I swear my leathers weighed about 20kg by the time I got home

Only a little between Greville and Tristram. My bike is so light that I feel if someone sneezes in my direction I'll fall off.

I seriously lack immignation to ride by myself.
