Started when Co-pilot & I missed the text message on the meet up time and
didn't catch up till the lunch venue. 5 Bikes.
Nice it was too - the Sawmill cafe in Leigh. Pretty
area.
Sunny afternoon, good food, good company etc, and then not
long after, the relatively newly arrived Scotsman on the VFR750 that we were riding with for the first time - end-overed into a ditch and was last seen heading Auckland Way in an Ambulance.
He was all in one piece, from what I hear this evening Dave is having a MRI and has got a concussion. Good to meet you and...get well soon.
It was good having the Co-pilot on the first aid case. She's a theatre nurse by trade - so cool and professional and good with downed bikers, briefs the ambos when they arrive and is just onto it. On you girl - we appreciate it.
Anyway, Carlton beat Collingwood and St George beat Brisbane - so I'm all good, but, funny old day.
