There's now a more sustainable number of bikes and competitors to mayb eget some reasonable grids again.
I talked to Flea last Saturday re this 60 year thing and he asked me to ask the NZSRA if they were interested in fronting a sizeable grid for this years tri series.
for the last race at HD the tri series before last there were six bikes on the grid and that was the first meeting, their main concern was that would two rounds before the Cem Cct reduce the feild to a point where it is not viable to run at Wanganui.
Anyways, I passed on Fleas request to Tracey to put to the Association

Sounds wicked!
Liked gordys idea of parade lap with bikes in order from oldest to newestas long as the agip bike is in there
Will be planning to go up to the Barry Sheene again this year and Wanganui Street race.. if Tri Series is allowing sidecars and numbers are lacking I might be able to swing that way too.. will see.
fuck off, I have done what Flea asked me to while on the phone on another subject, pass on a message to the NZSRA. Please discuss this with the president of the New Zeland Sidecar Racing Association if you desire to.
The sport is moving ahead now, it's up to the competitors etc to capitalise on it, or suppress it again, tis their call...

start another thread Bob, I'm trying to promote sidecars and have done through thick and thin that's one reason i put forward the idea of a 60th, you mentioned a one off meeting for poms you didn't mention you're chequebooking it, i mentioned there's three as a solution offering the poms the chance to do more than one meeting, sort the nuts and bolts of it out elsewhere please
and rumour has it Shaun Harris wants to race against the poms on a Sidecar too
Saw this on the way to Hampton Downs last weekend last raced in the fifties at wanganui and is as it rode there too. The sidecar was only unbolted a year or so ago to make so bikes as last used to. It will be at the Cemetery Circuit this year
they're out there
