I reckon the worst place in Wgtn (on a commute) is on the Petone Esplanade Hutt River bridge in a southerly. Not. Cool.

The side wind wasn't the issue - forward motion was! I had the throttle pinned and was laying on the tank just to stay at 60...

A cracker day for it too. Especially compared to yesterday...

Good turn out. Nice ride too.

Just for once there were no bugs splattered on my visor.
Could be because they just landed on it walked around on it and flew off again...

Great day out, did the scenic route round the lake following Sels 1 .It was nice to have lunch and put faces to those names we see regularly on the site. Hope to catch up with some of you again.

We've just got back. A little on the damp side but a good days riding all in all.

What a great turn out, when we arrived at Caltex I though to myself "oh shit, what have I done!" There must have been 40 odd bikes along that back wall.

Lots of familar faces around and quite a few unfamilar ones too.

Anyway, for those of you I met today, it was mice too meet you. As for all the others, maybe next time.

    And nobody fell off?

Mrs H and I were across in the Wairarapa earlier but didn't join up with the Expedition as we needed to be back in town shortly after 1:00pm. It was nice to catch up with some friendly faces all the same, albeit briefly.

    Thanks Slingshot

Cheers mate for organising the ride today. Bloody well done!
It was my 1st KB ride and what a great bunch of folks I met today. Just got home myself after a couple of quiet ones at the Sand Bar with some folks I meet today.
Thanks again and I hope to catch up with all of you again somewhere, sometime.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
