Im with Velox on this one. It wouldnt be hard at all to do a bodge job with her spare indicator as a temporary measure. Nothing like being on your own bike... Twist the wires, bit of *cough* duct tape if necessary...

One indicator isn't an essential though for a one off ride! I'm assuming it's the front one. I've got a spare temporary one if you can be bothered wiring it in - it's the same as mine (little oval one) but this one has rather distrubing fake carbon fibre on it. Prob more hassle than it's worth but if it means it can be done in time...
Hey kewl, thanks. Should be bringing the bike back from Featherston this weekend so will check it out and I may take you up on the offer. I'll be in touch!

I scored some bright green duct tape (good ole Pak n Save) to match my bike when I strapped the camera on for Manfeild... if you did a decent job it might not be such a "temporary" feature

Then again, think of the aerodynamic advantage that having no indicator provides

I don't know how to get it from video to computer, but I can easily do a few stills. Problem is it's not that exciting in still form, mounted to the tank looking at the dials and track ahead. And on Manfeild I'm only getting 220 max so even the speedo is not too exciting.

Is the video on a Mini DV tape? If so, I could capture it from the tape and compress it to post on KB.

talking about muffler's.. i think mine was the worsestestest!!!

the ONLY thing holding it on was the little bit of metal ( and i mean the litletest bit of weld any one has ever seen) by the rear mount.....how it never fell off is any one's guess!!!

    what a ride so far!!!!

The plan is to leave Caltex Rimutaka at 10:30am on Sunday 2 October.

I may or may not be able to make it now...I should know more tomorrow once I've had the bike looked at.

If I can't...can someone else put their hand up to organise the group on the day.

    Cheers John

Mr Slingshot, do you have a copper and black F3? I was following one on SH2 from Petone to Ngauranga yesterday (Sunday). Pillion on the back I recall.

If it was I'm afraid that the CBR was blowing a bit of oil. Smelt almost unburnt, and was constant rather than on over run or acceleration.

Yip...that was me. I'd just been over at the sprints and had a wee problem on my first flying quarter mile run.
I think I might have broken a ring.
