How many large group rides have you organised? How many people's day have you seen fucked up by having to take someone to hospital and then go back and pick their bike, or worse, bikes up?

    Thought so.

If you don;t want to participate, then don't, but don;t screw up someone else's day because you, "can't live by rules man."

If you're gonna be an arse stay hom, and if you'd like to "actually read(tm)" my posts I think you'll see that I'm not hassling the slow riders. As I said in my subsequent post, people's perceptions of what amounts to slow are somewhat different to reality.

Relax, obviously tone is lost in written posts! I'm just a new rider and this is my 1st time over the Tukers. I'm very concious I might be a nuisance to other rides cause I'm slow and I'd rather not hold everyone up if they are all much better! Just looking for reasurance that there will be others like me.

Not only will there be others "like" you, there are people who enjoy a quiet ride that will be in your group who have ridden for years. There will be a sweep in your group who will be an experienced rider, who's job it is to make sure you guys are OK. It isn't school, or prison, but people have chosen to organise a ride, and show you some cool roads you can check out by yourself later on, and of course enjoy a social outing.

Charlie: youll be fine. Its pretty easy for other riders to get past. Everyone I have met is awesomely helpful and will be fun and easy to ride with. Just relax and enjoy the day. More importantly: dont worry about other riders (with in reason) and just get yourself to the destination safely and have fun.

the best thing to do is not worry about faster bikes. if they want to get around you they will. just relax and have a good time. Its not a race

Jeez no way - I'm the bitch today.

Wish I could apply for a personality transplant.
