The Pukemanu is on high alert!!!

By the sounds of it they have a good selection of food from both their lunch menu and their bar menu. Their restaurant doesn't open until midday but they do have a bar we could hang out in if we arrive early.

Fingers cross for nice weather!!!

Can someone tell me where the meet up is?

I'll be coming over Grays road from Mana on to the motorway then up toward Upper Hutt... where from there?

If there's anyone going from my way I'd be happy to meet up before hand.

Caltex Rimutaka is the meeting point.
When you get onto SH2, continue to head towards Upper Hutt. Don't turn off any where, just keep following your nose along SH2. Eventually, on your left, you'll see a Caltex station. That's where everyone will be meeting.

Looks like I won't be joining this ride, unless these high winds suddenly clear up or I can somehow attach extra weight onto my bike to stop me from being blown around, neither of these seem particuarly likely to happen.

That's what im afraid of, the KR likes to "fly" around in high winds, usually sideways right into grass banks AND it doesn't even need wings to do it!

Weathers looking 'interesting'. The winds going to change several different directions the next couple of days. Plenty of high winds too by the looks of it. What we need is someone who works in the meteorlogical industry that is a technician for this kinda stuff .

Ok, the lastest forecast is - strong NWesterlies Sat, dying out probably overnight with fine period Sun morning (Yay) there is a cold Southerly front due sometime on Sun but not expected to later in the day or early evening.
So most of our riding time should be ok as the NW winds die out and move around to Sth. (Be prepared for a possible shower, but not really expected at that time) Will update later in the week.
